Theatre Bristol Presents Radio Drama “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on October 29

A staged radio drama in Anderson Park just for Halloween!

Theatre Bristol On Air presents a Halloween radio drama production of “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” on October 29 at Anderson Park, Bristol, Tennessee at 7:00 pm and 8:00 pm. There is no charge for the production, but donations are always welcome.

Theatre Bristol On Air is a radio drama throw-back to Theatre Bristol’s days of “Don’t Touch That Dial.” This Washington Irving classic thriller is directed by long-time Theatre Bristol director and actor, Dottie Havlik. The not-to-be missed live performance will also be recorded and available on various podcast services and the Theatre Bristol website, www.theatrebristol.org.

The cast includes Tayler Bolling as the Narrator and Mrs. Van Tassel, Steve Baskett as Ichabod Crane, Sarah King as Katrina Van Tassle, Robert McCrary as Brom Bones, Terry Marek as Baltus Van Tassel, Caleb Hale as Van Houten and Brouer, Jesse Jewell as Martling, and Dottie Havlik as the Announcer. Stage management, sound effects, music, and lighting provided by Camille Gray, Albert Tester, and Ann Vance.

Theatre Bristol is pleased to present The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as part of its family-friendly 57th season of ARTspace and The Paramount Center for the Arts shows, including Twelfth Night, Three Times Three, Jack and the Beanstalk, The Sound of Music, the weekly PLAYtime in the ARTspace, Elf The Musical, and The StART of Adventure Summer Camp.

Founded in 1965 by Cathy DeCaterina, Theatre Bristol is a community theatre serving all ages that also has the distinction as the oldest continually running children’s theatre in northeast Tennessee. Located on historic State Street in Bristol, it also serves southwest Virginia. Its Main Stage season consists of drama, comedy, and musical productions that take place in the 100-seat blackbox ARTspace and at the Paramount Center for the Arts.
