Theatre Bristol is thrilled to announce the acquisition of the Cameo Theatre.
Thanks to the Theatre Bristol Board of Directors, Brent Buchanan, People, Inc. Financial Services, Ninth District Development Financing Inc., the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority, the support from the Bristol community, and many others, Theatre Bristol is pleased to add The Cameo to its rotation of stages.
Performances begin this year, with Land of Jesters & Rumpelstiltskin, commemorating Theatre Bristol’s 60th anniversary, as well at the Cameo’s 100th anniversary. Tickets will go on sale February 17 at TheatreBristol.org/tickets.
It takes a community to raise a theatre and we need your support and involvement! Contributions of time, resources, and money are all important and appreciated, and help these Bristol landmarks thrive for years to come. Will Theatre Bristol still perform at The Paramount?
Yes! The Paramount has been closely knit with Theatre Bristol since its restoration led by Cathy DeCaterina in the 1980’s.
Is the name changing?
Nope! Cameo Theatre and Theatre Bristol are keeping their respective names.
Are you selling the ARTspace and office?
Nope! The ARTspace is a vital, versatile performance space and 506-512 State houses rehearsal spaces, offices, classrooms, scene & costume shops, and thousands of square feet of storage.
How can I get involved?
It takes a lot of volunteers and community support to run a theatre. Consider donating, sponsoring a show or season, or fill out our volunteer form.
How is this being funded?
This endeavor is being financed by Theatre Bristol with support from the community, People, Inc. Financial Services, Ninth District Development Financing Inc., and the Virginia Small Business Financing Authority. This allows Theatre Bristol time to raise funds to pay down the debt by running a capital campaign. Help us sustain Theatre Bristol and the Cameo for all of Bristol to enjoy by contributing.
