Theatre Bristol Presents “Twelfth Night” as Shakespeare in the Park

The Sunday performance of Twelfth Night has been rescheduled for 7:00 PM. Don’t forget your lawn chair!

Theatre Bristol presents Shakespeare in the Park with comedy “Twelfth Night” August 13, 14, and 15 at Cumberland Square Park in Bristol, Virginia.

William Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” or “What You Will” is a tragedy turned comedy as twins Viola and Sebastian are separated after a shipwreck on the Illyrian coast. Thinking the other dead, Viola and Sebastian mourn their lost sibling. As they work to regain their footing on their separate paths, they meet some of the interesting characters of Illyria.

The cast of Theatre Bristol’s “Twelfth Night”

Madly in love with Lady Olivia, Mason White rules Illyria as the illustrious Duke Orsino. Viola, played by Cameron Roberts, goes undercover using the alias “Cesario” to serve as a page to Mason’s Count Orsino. As “he” tries to woo the lovely Lady Olivia, played by Bailey Lowe, on behalf of Count Orsino, Viola begins to fall in love with Count Orsino, herself. Meanwhile, Lady Olivia’s aunt, the brilliant, jovial Lady Tabby Belch, enjoys partying, and galivants and rouses the night with Lady Alice Aguecheek. Enelisa Sutton and Whitney Brooks delight as Lady Tabby and Lady Alice, respectively.

Chloe Campbell attends Lady Olivia as the clever Maria, as well as serves Sebastian as his loyal companion, Antonio. Riley Lowe captivates as the witty jester, Feste. Zaiah Gray will have you ROFL as Malvolio, in his yellow stockings and cross-garters, and wrench your heart as Sebastian as he reunites with his long-lost sister, Viola.

“Twelfth Night” is a Theatre Bristol Youth Service Board production, with Camille Gray as the director, Faith Vance as the understudy, and Samantha Gray as the YSB mentor.

“Twelfth Night” is presented free of charge by Theatre Bristol at Cumberland Square Park, Bristol, VA, Friday, August 13 at 7:00 pm; Saturday, August 14 at 10:00 am, 2:00 pm, and 7:00 pm; and Sunday, August 15 at 7:00 pm.
