Theatre Bristol On Air Presents Classic Rags-to-Riches Fairytale “Cinderella”
Announcing Cast; Airing September via 89.5 WETS and Podcast
Theatre Bristol is “Keeping Drama On -and Off- Stage (#TBKDOS),” with the Theatre Bristol On Air production “Cinderella,” featuring a fairytale cast under the direction of Camille Gray.
A tale that never grows old, Cinderella, her fairy godmother, stepmother and sisters, and animal friends delight in this classic that’s like you’ve never heard before. Gather your family, friends, and imagination wherever you are and listen together. Don’t miss this show with everything you know and love, plus a few new twists that will make you happy ever after.
The #TBKDOS Series launched with Theatre Bristol On Air, a radio drama throw-back to Theatre Bristol’s days of “Don’t Touch That Dial.” Theatre Bristol On Air’s production of “Cinderella” will air on radio 89.5 WETS September 9 at 8:00 PM. After the airing, join the cast for a live talkback on Zoom; details coming at www.TheatreBristol.org. Throughout September, the program will also be available free of charge on various podcast services and the Theatre Bristol website. Donations are appreciated.
The cast is made up of both long-time veterans, as well as some new-to-Theatre Bristol performers, including Tayler Bolling as Cinderella, Luke Gray as the Prince, Maxine Poole as the Fairy Godmother and the Duchess of Saxony, Lynn Hiester as the Stepmother, Abigail Haagen as Hildegrunge, Tina Badham as Mildreck, Addison Lowe as Harper, AzLeigh Cunningham as Charli, Michael Malloy as Minister and the Soldier, Brant Burgiss as Mr. Levois and the King, Amy Reid as Mrs. Levois and the Duchess of Bolonga, Robert McCrary as the Duke of Bolonga and the Herald, Lucy Claire Foy as Young Cinderella, Andrew Hunt as Grandpa, and Amber Miller as Janey. Camille Gray, soundographer for “A Christmas Carol” and other audio productions, debuts as a Theatre Bristol On Air director. This Brian Rousseau adaptation blends Charles Perrault and the Grimm Brothers’ versions of “Cinderella.”
“Cinderella” follows Theatre Bristol On Air’s past successes, “The War of the Worlds” directed by Dottie Havlik, “A Christmas Carol” directed by Glenn Patterson, and “The Hound of the Baskervilles” directed by Glenn Patterson, all available online.

Founded in 1965, Theatre Bristol is the oldest continually running children’s theatre in northeast Tennessee. Its Main Stage season consists of up to six productions. Some of its performances take place in the ARTspace, a multi-purpose, black box theatre which seats up to 120, and other performances are on stage at the Paramount Center for the Arts. Theatre Bristol is volunteer run and we invite you to get involved.
