Junie cast announcement
Announcing the Cast of Junie B. in Jingle Bells Batman Smells!

The children of Room One are excited about Christmas and the celebrations, especially singing, “Jingle Bells, Batman Smells.” That sounds like it makes for an interesting outcome so be sure to see Theatre Bristol’s holiday production of “Junie B in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” when it comes to the ARTspace stage for three weekends from December 1 through 17. Tickets are now on sale (www.TheatreBristol.org) to see Junie B. make her debut on the Theatre Bristol stage and bring holiday cheer in her own spunky way.

Written by Allison Gregory and distributed by Playscripts, this first-grader in the title role is really excited about the upcoming holiday gift exchange at her school. Tattletale May is always ruining Junie B.’s fun, so when Junie B. draws May’s name things get interesting. “Will the Christmas spirit of peace and goodwill interfere before she can give you-know-who what she deserves? A hilarious and endearing tale based on the best-selling book series by Barbara Park (Playscripts).”

Dottie Havlik, Director, is really excited to bring this show to the stage for the holidays, most recently directing the River’s Way “Three Times Three” production, “The Adventures of Madeline,” and “Charlotte’s Web,” as well as performing and writing may plays over the years. She is supported by Stage Manager Sarah McCall, Costumer Hyacynth Barbera, Master Carpenter Robert Havlik, and Lighting Designer Paul Pratt.

Sharing the stage in this double cast production are Whitney Brooks and Claire Hankins in the title role of Junie B. Counterpart May will be played by Sarah Grace Cook and Kyla Dula. Junie B and May are joined by Mykella Bryant and Riley Miller as Lucille, Avery Fick and Gwynnie Harman as Herb, Carly Street and IsaBella Walker as Sheldon, Charlee McKee and Henry Moody as José, Andrew Hunt as Mr. Scary, Devon White as Mr. Toot, Jeanette Winston as Elf Ellen, Avry Riffey and Libby Street as Philip Johnny Bob, and Robert Havlik as Grampa Miller.

“June B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells” opens December 1, and runs for three weekends, Fridays at 7:30 pm, Saturdays at 10:30 am and 5:30 pm, and Sundays at 2:30 pm, closing on December 17. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students, and available at http://www.Theatre Bristol.org.
