Theatre Bristol is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with a mission to offer skills and opportunities to children that increase their self confidence and to provide an outlet for live performance by community members for audiences throughout the region. The vision is that all children experience the unparalleled benefits of live performance and that no child be turned away from opportunities for learning, whether through workshops or attending a show.

Theatre Bristol was originally established in 1965 as the Bristol Children’s Theatre, is a community theatre with a focus on reaching children performers and audiences. Theatre Bristol has performed before audiences of school children from local school districts, and for the general public in this theatre-oriented area. And while it serves adults as well as children, Theatre Bristol holds distinction as the oldest continuously-run children’s theatre in northeast Tennessee.

Theatre Bristol is dedicated to:

  • Arts Education and Youth Programming;
  • Community Outreach; and
  • Main Stage Seasons of Quality Family Musicals and Dramas.

This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number SLFRP5534 awarded to the State of Tennessee by the U.S. Department of the Treasury.
