Theatre Bristol is pleased to present its 2019 Season, featuring a year of fairy tale favorites!

Theatre Bristol’s 54th Season kicks off with a special collaboration between Theatre Bristol and River’s Way directed by Dottie Havlik in the spring, Cinder Red Robin Hood and the Seven Dwarfs.

In celebration of its 80th anniversary, Wizard of Oz will be presented under the direction of Kenn Naegele at the Paramount Center for the Arts June 21 – 30.

Following Theatre Bristol’s annual The Start of Adventuresummer camp for kindergarten through eighth grade, its Youth Service Board will present Sherlock Holmes, July 26-28.

The Trial of the Big Bad Wolf returns to the ARTspace stage September 6-15.

In time for the holidays, Theatre Bristol presents Into the Woods under the direction of Glenn Patterson at the Paramount Center for the Arts, November 15-24.

The Christmas favorite, Miracle on 34th Street, follows December 6-22 at the Theatre Bristol ARTspace.

Haley White, designer of the Theatre Bristol 2019 Season poster, is a local graphic designer who specializes in logo design, social media content, illustration, photography and hand lettering. She graduated from East Tennessee State University in 2017 with a bachelor’s in graphic design. She currently works for the nonprofit the Upper East Tennessee Human Development Agency as a Communications Manager in Kingsport, TN.

Haley has a love and respect for the performing arts that began at a young age. Theatre has always been an inspiration for her design work. She is thrilled to work with Theatre Bristol and present the 2019 Season Reveal design. Haley appreciates the opportunity to give back to the community by doing something that she loves. Those interested in being a part of the wonderful experience of live performance by bringing it to life over several weeks and working backstage as part of the production team and stage crew are welcome to come to any of the audition dates and discuss their interest and skill. This invitation includes those interested in orchestra, costuming, set design and construction, lighting, sound, stage management, props, publicity, and many other roles. Interested individuals can also email info@theatrebristol.org. All roles are volunteer, as there is no paid staff. No experience is necessary for crew work, though welcome.

Year-end contributions to Theatre Bristol may be made to support its mission to offer skills and opportunities to children that increase their self confidence, as well as to provide an outlet for live performance by community members for audiences throughout the region. The vision is that all children experience the unparalleled benefits of live performance and that no child be turned away from opportunities for learning, whether through workshops or attending a show. Theatre Bristol is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, a Great Nonprofits 2018 Top Nonprofit, and a Gold-level Guidestar organization.

Into the Woods is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). Founded in 1965, Theatre Bristol is the oldest continually running children’s theatre in northeast Tennessee. Its Main Stage season consists of up to five productions. Some of its performances take place in the ARTspace, a multi-purpose, black box theatre which seats up to 120, and others at the Paramount Center for the Arts. Theatre Bristol is a volunteer-operated organization and we invite you to get involved.
